Encaisser un caf\u00e9 ou un sandwich par carte ou via une application mobile permet de r\u00e9duire les files d\u2019attente et d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer le passage en caisse aux heures de pointe. La gestion s\u2019en trouve simplifi\u00e9e\u2009: moins de risques d\u2019erreur de caisse, pas de billets \u00e0 recompter, un suivi automatis\u00e9 des encaissements. La s\u00e9curit\u00e9 est \u00e9galement renforc\u00e9e\u2009: sans argent liquide en magasin, le risque de vol ou de malversation interne diminue fortement. Enfin, le cashless projette une image moderne, appr\u00e9ci\u00e9e par une client\u00e8le connect\u00e9e et habitu\u00e9e au paiement sans contact.<br>Ces avantages ne sont toutefois pas sans contrepartie. Les commissions ponctionnent chaque transaction, ce qui p\u00e8se particuli\u00e8rement dans un secteur o\u00f9 le ticket moyen est bas et les marges d\u00e9j\u00e0 serr\u00e9es. \u00c0 cela s\u2019ajoute une d\u00e9pendance technologique\u2009: une panne de terminal ou une coupure Internet peut bloquer les encaissements, avec un impact imm\u00e9diat sur les ventes.
